Daniel & I decided to create a Lego version of the Little White Wedding Chapel. It was a huge challenge and the result is still not fully furnished however we felt it is ready to share with the world. Built from the ground up to faithfully match the original, the chapel features it’s own Bride and groom, and of course Catherine Muldoon from Vivid Photography taking the photographs!
With functioning doors that look just like the original, and floorboards that reflect the Bride and Groom just like the full size version, this Little Little White Wedding Chapel is a chip off the old block! Even the power box and side gardens are included.
The interior currently features a signing table, and chairs will be added soon as well as chandeliers and mirrors. The upper section of the roof is removable for viewing the interior.
Hey! It’s Dan from the Brick Zone. I decided to build the Tie Echelon, which so far has not had an appearance in the Star Wars movies, but instead is a set piece at Galaxy’s Edge (the new Star Wars themed section added to Disneyland). I recently also began building a Star Wars Diorama featuring a battle between the resistance and the first order, in which this ship will be featured. I thought that Building a ship for the first order would be a good idea, and I think it will look cool with Kylo Ren walking out of it, followed by some Stormtroopers. The main body is complete but I’m going to put more plating on the side of the ship to give it more detailing. The top halves of the wings also have to be built and angled correctly. The back of the ship could also use some work, by just adding more plating and detail to it. I am really pleased with how the curvature worked out on the front and where the access door is.

Looking for something educational and very cool for your kids to do that they will love?
We have just launched The Brick Zone! A Lego display & building workshop space right here in Maleny. We will soon be offering STEM workshops utilising Lego in two age groups: 7-12 and 12-17. In the 7-12 age group we will be focussing on building and coding projects using WeDo 2.0, a Lego Robotics product for Early Years. In the 12-17 age bracket we will be using the Lego Mindstorms EV3 Robotics system to build and program advanced robotics with gyro, ultra sonic, touch, and colour sensors.
If this sounds like something your child would love, call Catherine on 0413 150 003 for more information on the workshops coming up.
